The Celebrate The Century: 1960s souvenir sheet was issued in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on September 17, 1999.
Designed by Carl Herrman of Laguna Niguel, California, and illustrated by Keith Birdsong of Muskogee, Oklahoma, the souvenir sheet features 1960s subjects from the following categories: People and Events, Arts and Entertainment, Lifestyles, Sports, and Science and Technology. The fifteen commemorative stamps in this sheet are titled "I Have a Dream"; Woodstock; Man Walks on the Moon; Green Bay Packers; Star Trek; The Peace Corps; The Vietnam War; Ford Mustang; Barbie Doll; The Integrated Circuit; Lasers; Super Bowl I; Roger Maris, 61 in '61; The Beatles; and Peace Symbol.
In celebration of the holiday season the Postal Service issued both a traditional and contemporary Christmas stamp on October 23, 2003 in New York, New York.
The 37-cent Holiday Music Makers stamps were issued in four designs and designed by Ethel Kessler, Bethesda, Maryland. Featuring whimsical Santas and fanciful reindeer playing horns, panpipes, and a drum, these lighthearted, colorful stamps are reminders of the joys of the season. Illustrator Diane Teske Harris of Billings, Montana, created the airbrush artwork for these colorful stamps.
This Migratory Bird Treaty Issue stamp commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act between the United States and Canada that was enacted to protect bird from extinction. The statute makes it unlawful without a waiver to hunt, capture, kill or sell birds. The stamp features an image of a pair of migratory birds and the border of the United States and Canada.
The 15-cent Indian Masks commemorative stamps were first placed on sale at Spokane, Washington, on September 25, 1980. The block of four semi-jumbo stamps featured different carved masks, each representing the craftsmanship of tribes in the Pacific Northwest costal region.
The stamps were designed by Bradbury Thompson and were issued in sheets of forty.
